Cinnamon & Date, Dark Hot Chocolate Drink

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dates
  • 2 heaped tbsp dark cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 cubes dark chocolate
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 2 cups plantbased milk coconut or hazelnut work best

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients excluding the milk, into a pan and top with water (1 cup). Bring to the boil and then turn off the heat.
  2. Pour the contents of the pan into a jug and use a hand blender to blitz smooth.

  3. Return to the pan, add the milk and simmer on a medium heat until you reach your desired drinking temperature.

  4. Serve immediately.
