Cook the pasta as per packet instructions.
Place all of the prepared pesto ingredients into a food processor and blitz until you reach a coarse, grain like texture.
Drain the pasta but retain 1-2 cups of the cooking liquid which you can use to create a sauce with the pesto. Turn OFF the heat.
Stir the pesto mixture through the hot pasta, adding as much of the retained liquid as you prefer. Place the lid on the pan and leave to stand (heat off) for a few minutes for the steam to cook through the broccoli in the pesto.
After a few minutes, it's ready to serve! Top with any remaining toasted pine nuts and season with sea salt and ground black pepper to taste.
